Las Ventanas al Paraíso Review: Is This Cabo’s Most Luxurious Rosewood Resort?

An Anniversary Escape to One of Cabo’s Most Iconic Luxury Resorts

In March, we slipped away for a long weekend at Las Ventanas al Paraíso, the legendary Rosewood resort in Los Cabos that somehow feels worlds away despite the short flight from San Francisco. This is my honest Las Ventanas al Paraíso review after celebrating our anniversary there, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear why this resort has such a loyal following.

Before we even made it to check-in, a celebration team appeared with sparklers and a cake. It was such a thoughtful way to begin the trip. Cold drinks appeared, our bags disappeared, and the check-in process must have been seamless because I genuinely don’t remember it, which may be the best compliment possible.

Mariachi musicians welcomed us as we entered, instantly setting that Baja mood and reminding us we were somewhere special.

First Impressions & Arrival Experience

Las Ventanas blends sophistication with warmth in a way that feels effortless rather than performative. The architecture leans into Baja craftsmanship with carved wood, cool stone, and neutral tones, while the grounds feel meticulously maintained without feeling overly staged.

Throughout the stay, service was intuitive rather than scripted. You can tell many guests are repeat visitors, some even residence owners, and it’s easy to understand why.

The Room: Gardenview King Junior Suite Review

Our Gardenview King Junior Suite offered a peek of the water, but the real highlight was the spacious, private terrace with an easy path leading directly toward the pools and restaurants, incredibly convenient without sacrificing privacy.

The room reflected the region beautifully, with local Baja craftsmanship, hand-carved wood furnishings, and cool stone floors that kept the space feeling serene and grounded. It felt luxurious but never flashy, more refined than showy.

The view from the bed toward the terrace quickly became our favorite morning ritual spot, coffee in hand, easing into the day.

Dining at Las Ventanas al Paraíso

Dinner our first night at Alebrije was a perfect introduction. The restaurant overlooks the beach, and during dinner the sky shifted through every shade of pink and gold.

To celebrate our anniversary, they surprised us with a white chocolate canvas dessert we could paint ourselves using edible colors. It was playful, unexpected, and very Las Ventanas.

The next evening we dined at Árbol, which sits near one of the resort’s main pools and has a slightly livelier energy. The food was excellent, but the atmosphere stood out most: warm lighting, soft music, and that unmistakable Rosewood polish.

We saved the best for last with dinner at Sea Grill. If you choose the beach option, tables are set directly on the sand with lanterns flickering and live music drifting in the background. The food was outstanding, but the setting made it unforgettable.

Pools & Relaxation

We split our time between the main pool, with its casual swim-up bar, and the smaller adults-only pool, which is much quieter. However, the true "must-do" for wellness is the cold plunge pool in the spa. It’s refreshing and perfect for the Baja heat.

Service with Soul

Las Ventanas is known for its butler service, and ours went above and beyond. The care felt intuitive rather than scripted, thoughtful without being intrusive.

Whether arranging dinners or quietly checking in at exactly the right moment, the team made us feel both seen and completely at ease.

Insider Tips for Staying at Las Ventanas al Paraíso

  • The Oceanfront Rooftop Terrace King Junior Suite on upper floors offers excellent views.

  • Building 7 is ideal for more privacy and less foot traffic.

  • A Two-Bedroom Oceanview Suite is ideal for families and, in my opinion, offers a stronger overall experience than the residences.

  • Upper-level suites have stronger views and privacy.

  • If you can splurge, book a Beachfront Signature Villa

  • The cold plunge pool in the spa is a must.

  • Ask your butler about the hidden speakeasy.

  • Book the private dinner on the beach.

Who Las Ventanas al Paraíso Is Best For

Anniversaries and milestone celebrations, couples looking for a romantic Los Cabos escape, luxury repeat travelers to Cabo, and families who don’t want to sacrifice luxury amenities and service.

Final Verdict: Is Las Ventanas al Paraíso Worth It?

Las Ventanas al Paraíso remains one of the most iconic luxury resorts in Los Cabos because it blends Baja authenticity, refined design, and deeply personal service in a way few properties replicate.

It’s the kind of place that reminds you how good it feels to slow down, celebrate something meaningful, and be taken care of without ever feeling managed. For us, it was the perfect anniversary escape and somewhere we would gladly return.
